We work in a hybrid mode 3+2, with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.
The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.
We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment (HPP).
SolarWinds’ Platform Insights team builds internal platforms that help teams across the company—including Finance, DevOps, and Engineering—work more efficiently and make informed decisions. As a Platform Engineer, you will turn internal teams’ needs into reliable services and automation, with a focus on AI-enabled workflows, Python, and Terraform.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain internal services and APIs that provide trusted information about service ownership, dependencies, health, and cloud costs.
- Develop Python services and integrations across source control, identity, CI/CD, and cost data.
- Create AI-enabled automation and agent workflows that reduce manual work, using tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Glean for development and solutions such as self-service, ChatOps, and scheduled insights.
- Use Terraform to manage infrastructure and operate and improve team services on Kubernetes; contribute to CI/CD and deployment workflows.
- Improve service-catalog data and FinOps capabilities, including ownership and dependency data, cloud-cost attribution, and reporting.
- Partner with internal customers to understand their needs, provide rotating operational support, and improve platform reliability and usability.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, developer tooling, automation, or a related field.
- Production experience with Terraform and Kubernetes (all team services run on Kubernetes).
- Strong Python skills and experience building production REST APIs with FastAPI or a similar framework.
- Experience building automation and integrating third-party APIs or webhooks; familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Glean and an interest in applying them thoughtfully.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, production service operations, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills, including async work with technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with AI agents, LLM-enabled workflows, FinOps, or cloud-cost reporting.
- Familiarity with internal developer portals, service catalogs, or CMDB-style products.
- Experience with identity integrations such as Entra ID/Azure AD, SCIM, SSO, SAML, or GitHub Teams.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or protobuf; experience with Go.
- Background in platform engineering, developer experience, or internal tooling.
