Direct Applications
When you apply for an open role, we redirect you straight to the employer’s official application portal (such as Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby). We are an automated search engine—not an employer, staffing firm, or recruiter.
Free for Job Seekers
Browsing, filtering, saving verified jobs, and accessing direct application links is 100% free. We never charge job seekers any fees.
Automated Link Verification
We regularly check listed openings to remove expired postings. However, hiring statuses change quickly, and all listings are provided on an "as-is" basis.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using Active Vacancies, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue using our platform immediately.
2. Nature of Platform & Role Clarification
Active Vacancies is an automated search engine indexing publicly available career opportunities directly from official company career systems (such as Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby).
- No Recruitment Role: Active Vacancies is not an employer, recruiter, employment agency, or staffing firm.
- No Hiring Involvement: We do not participate in candidate screenings, interviews, employment negotiations, hiring decisions, or compensation agreements.
- Direct Employer Relationship: Selecting "Apply on Company Site" takes you directly to the external employer's portal. Any application or resume you submit goes directly to that employer, not to Active Vacancies.
3. User Accounts & Sign-In
You can search and browse jobs anonymously without creating an account. If you choose to save jobs, create custom job alerts, or sync your preferences across devices, you can sign in with your Google account via Firebase Authentication.
- Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your Google account credentials safe. Active Vacancies cannot be held liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised account details.
- Accurate Information: You agree to maintain accurate, up-to-date information when creating and managing your account.
- Account Deletion: You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team at support@activevacancies.com.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
To keep Active Vacancies reliable and secure for everyone, you agree not to:
Run aggressive scraping scripts, spiders, or scrapers that exceed reasonable personal browsing rates or bypass system rate limits.
Interfere with, overload, attack, or compromise our servers, hosting infrastructure, APIs, Cloud Run instances, or databases.
Decompile, reverse engineer, or exploit our internal APIs, ATS parsing systems, or backend schemas.
Scrape, download, or syndicate our aggregated listings in bulk to run a competing commercial job directory or aggregation service.
Search Engines & Legitimate Crawlers: Verified automated crawlers are welcome provided they respect our robots.txt rules and identify themselves using a transparent, verified User-Agent header (see our Crawler Transparency guidelines).
5. Job Listing Accuracy & Expiration
We use automated background checks to verify company job boards and remove closed vacancies. However:
- Employer hiring demands, role requirements, and openings change frequently and without warning.
- We do not warrant that all job descriptions, qualifications, compensation figures, or remote work policies remain error-free or fully current at the exact moment you view them.
- If you come across a closed or inactive vacancy, please use the feedback or report link on the job page so we can quickly verify and remove it.
6. Intellectual Property & Nominative Fair Use
The Active Vacancies name, domain name, search engine software, user interface design, logos, and custom visual assets belong exclusively to Active Vacancies.
- Employer Trademarks: All third-party company names, brand marks, and corporate logos displayed on our platform belong to their respective trademark holders.
- Fair Use Notice: Third-party trademarks are used strictly for truthful, nominative identification to indicate which organization is advertising an open position. Their display does not imply any sponsorship, endorsement, or formal partnership between Active Vacancies and the hiring organization unless explicitly stated.
7. Disclaimers of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Active Vacancies, its founders, operators, and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) our site. This includes, without limitation, loss of employment opportunities, loss of profits, loss of data, or general business disruption.
8. Changes and Termination
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any platform feature or service at any time without prior notice. We may update these Terms periodically. Your continued use of Active Vacancies after revised Terms are posted signifies your agreement to the updated terms.
