Cleaner (Evenings)

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and reliable Cleaner to join the team at Rochdale Sixth Form College. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an outstanding college and play a key role in ensuring our learning environment remains clean, safe and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the college, including classrooms, corridors, offices and toilet facilities.
• Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Respond promptly to spillages and ensure areas are made safe.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH requirements.
• Refill and restock cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Check, maintain and report issues with cleaning equipment.
• Support a safe, positive and well-maintained environment for students and staff

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience of cleaning and using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Has knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
• Is able to work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a calm, confident manner.
• Has high levels of energy, resilience and enthusiasm.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality.
• Is committed to providing a clean, safe and welcoming environment for young people
