Urgent hiring: Assistant Manager – Engineering (Process / NPI / Product)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage NPI, Product, Process, and Industrial Engineering teams to achieve departmental goals and engineering deliverables.

• Monitor engineering and operational KPIs, including yield, defect rates, productivity, cycle time, and project progress.

• Set objectives, monitor performance, allocate resources, and ensure timely project completion.

• Coach and mentor engineers to strengthen technical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and leadership development.

• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and 8D.

• Work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to align engineering priorities with business objectives.

• Manage engineering projects from planning to completion, including resources, timelines, risks, and stakeholder updates.

• Drive continuous improvement through automation, digitalisation, and process standardisation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing engineers.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across NPI, Product, Process, or Industrial Engineering.

• Hands-on experience in NPI execution, production ramp-up, process optimisation, and productivity improvement.

• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Exposure to automation or digitalisation projects is an advantage.
