Technical Consultant

Job Description

1. Deploy and configure solutions in the cloud;
2. Automate cloud operations, develop infrastructure automation scripts and participates in the continuous improvement of cloud solutions;
3. Participate in the specification, setup and run Proof of Concepts and demonstrations of cloud solutions;
4. Administer and maintain servers across virtual platforms;
5. Provide pre-sales technical support for IT systems and security solutions;
6. Prepare technical proposals, solution designs and supporting documentation;
7. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and training sessions for partners and end users;
8. Support the Product Manager in promoting solutions and developing sales opportunities;
9. Provide technical support for Proof of Concept (POC) planning, execution and evaluation;
10. Obtain and maintain relevant technical certifications to enhance product knowledge and technical capabilities; and
11. Prepare and submit weekly reports covering technical activities, customer engagements, pre-sales activities, sales opportunities, project progress, POC status and outstanding issues.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Computer Studies or equivalent
• At least 1 year of work experience in IT related field, preferably in networking or systems
• Experience with Network and Security products (Eg. Firewalls, Routers and Switches)
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt to different customer working environments
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Be dynamic, organised, systematic and self-motivated
• Possess good communication and presentation skills
• Be willing to work extended hours, including outside normal office hours, when required

Compensation: Salary package includes commission.
