We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who will contribute to all aspects of the faculty and will inspire and engage our students within our innovative curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to be a part of thriving, rapidly developing faculty and take of advantage of the excellent CPD on offer within the Academy.

Humanities remain as popular and thriving area of the curriculum at the academy, with classes across all key stages. At Key Stage 3, students study a diverse and engaging range of topics across Geography and History, developing their understanding of the physical and human world, significant historical events and the connections between people, places and societies. At Key Stage 4, students follow the AQA GCSE specifications for both Geography and History, while Geography students at Key Stage 5 follow the Edexcel A-Level specification. This is an exciting time for the Humanities department as we continue to develop and enrich our curriculum, alongside expanding the range of extracurricular opportunities and educational visits available to our students, including upcoming trips to Iceland in summer 2027 and Krakow in December 2027.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking teacher who is fully committed to being the best practitioner they can be so they can make a difference to the students at The Sutton Academy.
