What we are looking for:
An experienced engineer who is passionate about building enterprise-grade systems.

You are passionate about new technologies and ready to push the boundaries of what is achievable. You are enthusiastic about working with the latest technologies and/or developing large-scale server-side technologies for collaboration platforms supporting rich conversational experiences.

You are looking for challenges and opportunities, with the ability and desire to bring new ideas. You are a team player and will work with other experienced co-workers to evolve the technology stack and build modern, awesome experiences for our customers. You must have a solid understanding of building performant, scalable user interfaces and servers with large-scale data, an obsession with design aesthetics, and engineering excellence.

What you get to do in this role:

• Build highly interactive applications that can scale with application complexity
• Create tools, libraries, and frameworks for other developers to build upon
• Apply new technology and innovation to improve platform functionality
• Write high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (code reviews, unit testing, etc.)
• Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and own the code from design to delivery
• Design software that is simple to use, allowing customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite
• Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 5+ years of software industry experience for bachelor's
• Significant experience designing and implementing highly interactive and high-volume applications
• Expertise in backend technologies:
  • Java, JUnit, REST, JSON
  • Relational databases, SQL, and frameworks like Spring and Hibernate
  • Frontend technologies, with solid JavaScript experience
  • Competence in design, usability, and scalability
• Python experience is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication

Preferred (nice to have):

• Hands-on DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar)
